Homebirth Access Sydney is a not for profit, community-based organisation, run entirely through the efforts of volunteers - mostly sleep deprived, overworked, unpaid mothers of small children. That is to say, some of the most time-poor people around.
To support our work in promoting homebirth, providing information to pregnant women and their families and spreading the word about the safety and benefits of homebirth, we rely on our members.
Members joining HAS will receive our quarterly magazine Birthings and will have the satisfaction of knowing that your money is being used to keep our organisation alive and help support families to birth at home.
HAS relies on our members for all our activities. If you can support HAS as a volunteer in any capacity, we would love to hear from you. If you can write, talk about birth, lobby, decorate, design, attend meetings, collect money, take photos, sell merchandise, photocopy, use a database, help organise events, post things or really almost anything else, we want you!
